Caring For Your Tan
Achieving the perfect tan isn’t just about the session—it’s about the care you take before, during, and after. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned bronzer, following the right steps will help you get the most out of every visit.
Pre-Tan Preparation

Hair removal to ensure even color absorption.
Exfoliate and Hydrate with Glow System products for a smooth canvas for your tan.
Schedule Mani/Pedi & Spa Treatments before to prevent unwanted color removal.
Hydrate dry areas like elbows, knees, hands, and feet.

Arrive with clean skin, with no lotion, oil, deoderant, or perfume.
Wear loose, dark clothing to prevent bronzer transfer.
Avoid getting wet for 6-8 hours after application (or 3 hours for rapid solutions).
Use the Norvell eXmit to remove surface oils and product buildup.
Arrival Preparation

Undress to comfort level and remove jewelry.
Apply sunnless prep product.
Use Sticky Feet to keep bottoms of feet clean.
Put on haircap, leaving the ears and hairline exposed.
Apply any FDA recommended products.
Apply a thin layer of blending cream to hands and feet, including nails.
Automated voice will instruct you through the full session.
Post-Routine

Avoid getting wet for 8 - 24 hours or 3 hours for rapid solutions.
Warm water rinse first, no soap, scrubbing or shaving.
Gently pat dry with a soft towel.

Hydrate & Moisturize daily, avoiding heavy oils and alcohol-based lotions.
Use a pH balancing body wash like the Norvell Glow System Shower Cleanser. Plus, be sure to shave with care and limit exfoliating.
Be aware of exfoliating environments like pools, hot tubs, and from excessive sweating.
Use Tan Extending products for a longer lasting, more radiant tan.
Enjoy a natural, even glow for 7 - 10 days with proper after-care.
